We’re Lucas Antics—a duo of artists, muralists, and magic-makers who transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences.

Alex

I’m Alex – illustrator, muralist and all-round mischief-maker with a paintbrush. I bring spaces to life with bold lines, layered stories and a healthy dash of wit. My work swings between playful and a little bit dark, but it always aims to make people stop, smile, and see the world a little differently.

I started out in Multi-Media Textile Design, then went on to do an MA in Animation and Illustration. Later, I studied Art Therapy – which deepened my fascination with how creativity can heal, connect and spark conversations. That thread still runs through everything I create today.

Lucas Antics was born the day I painted the front of my house with a repeating pattern of birds and flowers. Neighbours stopped to chat, strangers took photos, and suddenly the street felt alive in a way it never had before. That’s when it clicked: art doesn’t just transform walls – it transforms communities, sparks connections, and turns ordinary spaces into places people want to be.

Now, with Paul bringing the structure and craftsmanship to match my vision, we’re creating work that’s bigger, bolder, and more ambitious than I ever imagined. Together, we turn ideas into experiences that people don’t just see – they feel, explore, and remember.

When Lucas Antics started taking over Bristol, I couldn’t help but get involved. It didn’t take long to realise Alex and I shared something special – a passion for creating bold, beautiful things that stop people in their tracks. Together, we’re a pretty unstoppable team.

My background is in carpentry and interior design, which means I’m the one who transforms Alex’s wild sketches into real-world magic. Whether it’s rigging scaffolds, engineering structures, or building full-blown 3D installations- I bring the practical know-how that turns imagination into reality.

What drives me is the alchemy of creation – that moment when a scribble becomes something you can touch, walk through, or climb inside. It’s about giving form to ideas and creating spaces that communities can fall in love with and take pride in.
