Artel 31 Architects

We were flapping with joy to be commissioned by the architects at Artel 31 to enhance the outdoor space of their Chippenham offices. With a focus on showcasing local Wiltshire wildlife, we conceived a pair of curious-looking Mustard Bustards. These birds, recently reintroduced into the wild, now freely roam the countryside. We wanted to create a vibrant piece bringing warmth, colour, humour and intrigue into the area, providing a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, including those enjoying lunch at Cousin Norman’s cafe.

“When we asked Lucas Antics to paint us a mural we knew we would be getting a masterpiece. But, in a true ‘design by committee’ moment, we changed our minds at the last minute. They handled our flip-flopping like pro’s, quickly and efficiently coming up with new ideas that were even better than the originals. The result? A feathered fiesta that turned the street into a cluckin' art gallery! Our Mustard Bustards are now the talk of the town… majestic, mesmerizing, and most importantly fun. If your walls are crying for creativity and you need an artist who can roll with the punches we can’t recommend Lucas Antics enough”
