bedminster train station - public art mural
We were invited by Severnside Rail Partnership and Upfest to bring some colour and character to the walls of Bedminster Train Station. Working side by side with the brilliant Paul Monsters, who painted the adjoining walls, we set out to make the station feel lively, welcoming, and just a little bit wild!
Covering over 65 square metres of artwork — all designed and painted in our studio before being installed onsite — we filled the space with a joyful mash-up of local wildlife, lush greenery, and snippets of Bedminster’s urban landscape. The result is a playful montage that celebrates the area’s energy and spirit.
We love the idea that travellers might spot something new each time they pass through — maybe even dream up their own little stories hidden among the birds, beasts, and bricks.
“We loved working with Lucas Antics and Upfest on the Bedminster Station mural. They really understood the brief and communication was easy. The final design included a sassy mole train driver, skateboarding frogs and my favourite…a suitcase of underpants falling from a hot air balloon! The local community love it and it's been well respected. Thanks Alex and Paul!”
